Here are the most frequently asked questions and their answers. Please take your time to go through them to make sure you fully understand how we work and what we have to offer you. We offer stress-free service and we understand that you'll be arriving in a foreign country, therefore we'll make sure that your stay in Poland becomes an experience that you'll remember for a long time. The services we offer are second to none and you'll be looked after by our team from the moment we'll pick you up from the airport till you complete the course and we'll drop you safely back for your return flight.
Who can come and participate in our courses?
To participate in our courses you need to be at least 18, have a clean criminal record, and be in good health. We accept any nationality.
Please check the prerequisites on the course page as some courses require previous firearms training experience. Contact us if in doubt.
Do I need to have a Firearms License to attend the course?
No. Law in Poland allows anybody to use firearms on the range. You'll use our own modern weapon systems with all the gear we provide.
Who are our clients?
Most of our clients are civilians who would like to learn how to use firearms and learn realistic self-defence. If you are new to firearms we have a variety of courses for beginners where we start from scratch and teach you how to shot safely, accurately and make you feel comfortable handling firearms. If you are already a sports shooter, practical shooter, or professional who carries a firearm on duty we are sure that you'll improve your weapon manipulation, accuracy, and reaction time once you complete courses with us. We also cooperate with self-defence school owners to provide firearms and self-defence training for their clients. On our courses, you can also meet police officers and Military personnel from various units training together which is great for exchanging experience and getting hooked up with new friends. We run also designated courses for Police, Military, and SF.
Can I bring my own firearms to BZ Academy courses?
Yes! If you would like to use your own firearms on the course you are more than welcome. We have clients who bring their own firearms for the training. Just make sure that you let us know in advance and have a valid EUROPEAN FIREARMS PASS.
Do you provide a translator on BZ Academy International courses?
All our courses are run in English and you'll get full customer support in English from the very beginning to the end of your course.
It's real firearms - is it safe?
Safety if our priority and we always run drills and exercises considering the safety of the group and according to the group or individual skills and comfort. We'll drill into everyone's safety rules before we start even practicing dry with the firearms. Participants who do not obey firearms and range safety rules may be removed from the training.
How can I book my course and pay for it?
Use our website to pay the deposit of £150 or the full course price by secure STRIPE checkout. We accept all major credit/ debit cards. The outstanding balance can be paid by bank transfer, cash or card during the registration process before the course at our facility in Poland.
You can also pay it into our bank account here, but the online form needs to be filled in any way.

Please email us after you have made your bank transfer to confirm it. Please note that our bank account is in GBP and make sure that we receive the correct amount in GBP when paying from an international bank account.
You can also pay the FULL COURSE PRICE to our bank account.
If you paid just the deposit then the rest can be paid in cash in EURO or GBP on the day of the course or by bank transfer to the account above, one week before the course starts.
What's included in the course price?

Food - Full board. No need to worry about that. if you have any requirements such as vegetarian/allergies etc let us know in advance.

Certification
Is my flight ticket to Poland included in the price?
NO. You need to organize your own ticket to Poland. Once you land in Poland we'll take care of everything. If you flying from the uk we can recommend Wizzair or Ryanair depends on your closest airport.
Do I need to take any money with me?
Not really as we provide everything for you. However, if you want to buy some extra snacks for the range or a souvenir you can get about 100PLN (about 20GBP/23EURO) from the exchange place. Most of the shops in Poland accept cards and you can also withdraw money from cash points at the airport.
What if I can't come to the course and I have already paid my deposit. Is it refundable?
No, your deposit is non-refundable, but you have six months to use it towards any other course from the BZ Academy schedule.
What documentation do I need to participate in the course?
You need the following:

Document proving a clear criminal background (e.g. criminal record, Disclosure & Barring Service, valid Military ID, valid CP license, etc. or eventually Self-Declaration on Criminal Background*)

A document stating that the trainee is physically and mentally fit for the training (e.g. medical certificate from a family doctor/ GP, valid Military ID, valid CP license, etc. or a Health Self Declaration Form*)

Copy of a passport or photo ID (students have to be at least 18 years old. 16 years old can be accepted, but need to be accompanied by an adult)

Flight/ train tickets (for transport arrangements)

A non-refundable advance deposit payment of £150
We also recommend applying for the European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) or other private insurance just in case of emergency treatment at a hospital in Poland. You must have insurance in place.
What do I need to bring with me to your courses?
It depends on the course, so please read the course description general here is what we recommend:

Tactical or outdoor clothes: pants, shoes

Cordura or leather belt 40mm wide to accommodate your holster.

Tactical gloves are recommended for carbine courses and courses involved Force on Force Training with the use of FX Simunition
You can also bring your own tactical equipment such as ear and eye protection, holster, vest, mag pouches, slink, etc.
What weapons will be used in the courses?
Depending on the course content we'll use AR15/M4 Carbine, AK47 Kalashnikov, Glock 17/19, Glock 17T - FX Designated, and AR15 FX Conversion Kits.
What if I need a VISA to Schengen?
Please contact us, and we will provide you with an invitation letter. However, in this case, we need the FULL payment for the course in advance. If your VISa application is refused then we'll refund your payment minus £50 administration FEE.
Would I be collected from the airport in Poland and is the transfer included?
YES - collection and drop off service is included, but we have specific times for that. For pick up and collection time, please contact us directly as it depends on the group and their flight arrangements, but it's usually between 18.00 - 21.00 one day before the course starts. Before you buy flight tickets, also please double-check with us to the airport in Poland. BZ Academy courses take place in our facility around WROCLAW and POZNAN. The detailed pickup time will be emailed prior to the course.
What happens if my flight lands after your pick-up time or my flight is delayed?
We will arrange extra transport for you for the FEE of 80 Euro. This price will be shared between late travelers if there are any so you may split the cost with the others.
How far from the Airport is the training center?
It's usually a 1h - 1.5h drive depending on traffic.
What accommodation you provide?
We try to organize the best possible accommodation for our clients we can. Usually, you'll be sleeping in double rooms, but sometimes there may be a shared room for up to 3/4 people with a private shower. The sooner you book the course the easier is for us to manage accommodation arrangements.
Can I book a single room?
If you would like to book a single room please contact us in advance for the price and we'll do our best to arrange it for you. There will be an extra cost associated with a single room.
Can I drink alcohol during the course?
NO. Alcohol is prohibited during the course for obvious reasons - you will be working with live ammunition. There is a possibility to have a beer after the course, but not during the course.
Can I take photos or videos during the course?
NO. You need to focus on the course. There will be a photographer on the course who will take pictures that are going to be posted on social media after the course. If you want to take a photo with weapons and your friends etc during the breaks, there is no problem, but ask the main instructor first. We need to monitor photos of firearms for various reasons. Photos from the course will be publicized on Social Media after the course, so you can download for personal use, but you do not have a license to edit them and change in any way.
Would I get a certification at the end of the course?
Yes - all of our courses are certified by BZ Academy. However, we think that the most important is the knowledge and experience you receive from us.
