Booking your first firearms course. Here is how to do it step by step.

Step 1 Choose the right course for you.

As a first-time participant, we recommend selecting a course that covers the solid fundamentals of firearm handling. This is essential if you decide to continue your journey with us and participate in our intermediate courses.

Our most popular beginner course is Combined Firearms Course - Fundamentals, where you will learn the basics of handling a Glock pistol on the first day, and on the following two days, you will be trained on two different rifles: AR15/M4 and AK47. This will give you an overview of all the weapons we use at BZ Academy, and help you decide which one you would like to use and continue learning more about.

Additionally, we recommend our Tactical Pistol, Tactical Rifle, and Krav Maga Urban Extreme courses for beginners. Once you complete Combined Firearms courses - Fundamentals and Tactical Rifle and Tactical Handgun courses, you can progress and participate in our advanced courses, such as CFC Skill Builder, Concealed Carry, VCQB, close protection Firearms and Tactics, and instructor courses

Our Full courses schedule can be found HERE and on the top MENU under courses.

Step 2 Fill Online Registration form

Once you have chosen the course that suits your needs, it's time to fill out our online registration form. But before that, we recommend reading the details of the course, including its description, what's included, and logistics, to ensure that you're fully prepared. At BZ Academy, our courses are demanding, as we are committed to providing quality education, and there will be a lot of knowledge to absorb. So, be prepared to immerse yourself in the course material.

To complete the online registration form, you will need a few things:

  • Personal details such as your full name, address, and contact information.

  • A photocopy of your passport (a scan or picture of the first page is acceptable). EU National ID cards are also acceptable.

  • Proof of your clean criminal record. This can be a CRB check, SIA license, firearms license, or a self-declaration form if you're unable to obtain any official background check. This must be uploaded during the registration process.

  • A signed self-declaration medical form, which must be uploaded during the registration process.

  • On the form choose the option of your travel arrangements to Luban (Wroclaw Airport Pick up at 18.00 - 19.00 one day before the course, train from Wroclaw to Luban, or your car to hotel in Luban).

You can download the self-declaration forms, CRB, and medical forms from our website. If you have any questions about the forms, please contact us via email, and we'll be happy to assist you. We may also accept participants with minor criminal convictions. Please contact us for details. We will conduct background checks on our end as well.

Please make sure you have the forms and passport scan ready when filling out the form to register for the course.

Step 3. Deposit Payment

After completing the registration form, you can choose to pay the deposit for your selected course. We want to remind you that deposits are non-refundable because we need to secure your spot in the hotel and organize logistics. Also, our courses have limited spots for quality purposes, so please make sure you can attend the course before booking.

Deposits can be paid securely through Stripe Checkout using your debit/credit card.

For the outstanding balance, we recommend paying in cash on the range. It's the easiest and fastest option. We accept EUR, GBP, USD, and PLN. Please note that we do not accept Scottish notes.

We also accept debit/credit cards on the range, but based on our experience, sometimes issues arise with the payer's bank, leading to delays in payment processing due to security reasons. This can be frustrating and time-consuming, so once again, we recommend paying in cash.

Step 4: Read the Confirmation Email

After registering and paying the deposit, you will receive a confirmation email containing crucial information about your booking, logistics, and more. Please make sure to check your spam folder as well and read the email thoroughly.

If you haven't received a confirmation email within 24 hours, please contact us, and we will resend it to you. We want to remind you that sometimes, we encounter difficulty delivering emails to Gmail accounts due to Google's spam policies and rules. If possible, please use a non-Gmail email address when filling out the registration form.

Step 5: Confirm your travel arrangements

Here's what you need to know about your travel arrangements:

  • Airport Pick-Up: We offer a complimentary airport pick-up service from Wroclaw Airport to the hotel one day before the course starts around 18.00 - 19.00. We will confirm the time by email with you. This is included in the course price, as well as the airport drop-off on the last day of the course. Our courses usually finish around 15:00-16:00 and we drop participants at Wroclaw Airport. If your flight is at 19:00 or later, you're good to go. However, if your flight is earlier than 19:00 on the last day of the course, we recommend booking a hotel in Wroclaw and taking your flight on the following day.

  • Train: Taking a train from Wroclaw to Luban is a great option for those who arrive early and don't want to wait until the airport pick-up at 18:00-19:00. Here's what to do:

    - Take a taxi or direct bus from Wroclaw Airport to Wroclaw Glowny Train Station.

    - From Train Station Wroclaw Glowny, take a direct train to Luban (approximately 1.5-2 hours trip).

    - Once you arrive in Luban, you can walk for 10 minutes or take a taxi to the hotel. We use two hotels, and we will email you the hotel addresses once you choose this option.

    - When you arrive at the hotel, go to the reception and your room will be booked and waiting for you. Just give your passport or ID to the reception staff.

  • Traveling by Car: If you choose to travel by car, please contact us, and we'll email you the hotel address. We use two hotels, and both have free parking spaces for guests. To calculate your journey time from another country such as Germany for example check Luban's location in Google Maps o your sat nav. BZ Academy has located 25km from the German and Czech Republic border and we have a great motorway connection.

Enjoy your stay at the hotel, and in the morning of the following day, have breakfast and wait for the range pick-up at 8:45 at the reception. In case of an emergency, we'll provide you with a contact telephone number via email, once you're in Poland.

Step 6. The courses outline. What to expect.

We want to ensure that you have a great experience during the course, so here is what you can expect on the first day:

  • We will start with filling out the range book, which is required by Polish law, so we kindly ask you to sign it every day.

  • We will also take care of any outstanding payments you may have, and we recommend bringing cash with you for your convenience.

  • Next, we will provide you with all the necessary training equipment and safety gear for the course.

  • Before starting the course, we will give you an introduction and discuss the course content.

  • We will introduce ourselves and ask you to briefly introduce yourself to the group.

  • In case of any range accident, we will establish an emergency plan, though we have never had one before.

  • We will discuss safety rules and range rules to ensure that everything is clear to everyone.

  • Finally, we will begin with dry training and dry weapon manipulation to make sure that you are confident with your firearm before moving on to live training.

During the course, we will have a break for lunch at 12:30, and there will be coffee and tea available for you at all times. There is also a toilet on site for your convenience. We will finish the range day around 17:00 and then drop you off at the hotel, where dinner will be served at 18:00. After dinner, you will have some free time. On request, we can provide you with Laser SIRT Pistols or Airsoft Rifles to practice dry firing at the hotel. Both are completely legal to possess if kept out of public view.

On the last day of the course, we will show you how to disassemble, clean, lubricate, and assemble your firearms. We will also do a summary of the course, discuss progress, provide feedback, and finish with certification. We will drop you off at the airport around 15:30 - 16:00.

We hope that you will enjoy your time with us and learn a lot during the course. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to ask.
