We organise your local training logistics in Poland, including airport pickup, hotel transfers, range transport and airport drop-off after the course.
ARRIVE ONE DAY BEFORE
We recommend arriving one day before the course begins, so you can check in, rest and be ready for training the next morning.
AIRPORT PICKUP
Standard pickup from Wrocław Airport is organised at around 19:00. If most students arrive earlier, we may arrange an earlier pickup and confirm it by email.
LATE ARRIVAL SUPPORT
If you arrive after the organised pickup time, you will need to travel to the hotel at your own cost. We can recommend a trusted driver at a fair price.
RETURN FLIGHT AFTER 19:00
Training usually finishes around 16:00 on the final day. The drive to Wrocław Airport takes around 1.5 to 2 hours, so book your return flight no earlier than 19:00.

This is a practical 5-day VIP protection course combining firearms, protective formations, vehicle drills, hand-to-hand protection and scenario-based FX Simunition training.
01 Is this course suitable for beginners?
Yes, this is an open course. However, we strongly recommend completing Practical Pistol or at least Combined Firearms Course Level 1 before attending, so you are already familiar with safe pistol handling, range procedures and basic live-fire training.
The exercises on the Close Protection Firearms & Tactics Course are advanced, dynamic and scenario-based. If a student does not demonstrate full safety during training, they will not be allowed to take part in selected dynamic or live-fire exercises.
This may prevent the student from taking the final firearms test, where the task includes evacuating a VIP while using live ammunition. Safety is the minimum standard required to continue with these drills.
02 Who is this course for?
This course is for anyone who wants to learn how VIP protection works in practice — including students who are new to the industry, security professionals, close protection agents and people who already work in the protection sector and want to improve their skills.
It is also suitable for people who want to develop a better understanding of how to protect their family, improve personal security awareness, plan safer travel, reduce risk during foreign trips and react more effectively in emergency situations.
The course combines professional close protection concepts with practical training in movement, planning, protective formations, vehicle drills, firearms, hand-to-hand VIP protection and realistic attack-on-principal scenarios.
03 How long is the course?
The course runs for 5 training days. The programme includes classroom theory, live-fire Glock 17 training, protective formations, EMBUS / DEBUS vehicle procedures, hand-to-hand VIP protection and FX Simunition scenarios.
04 What firearms are used during the course?
The live-fire part of the course is based around Glock 17 pistols. FX Simunition scenarios use dedicated FX training pistol systems. Rifles and carbines are not part of this course.
05 How much ammunition is included?
The course includes 200 rounds of 9mm live ammunition and 50 rounds of 9mm FX Simunition training ammunition per student.
06 What is FX Simunition training?
FX Simunition is used for realistic force-on-force training with dedicated training weapons and protective equipment. It allows students to experience realistic attack-on-principal scenarios, decision-making, communication and team response under pressure.
07 What practical skills will I train?
You will train close protection theory, Glock 17 live-fire drills, VIP+2 and VIP+5 protective formations, VIP evacuation tactics, EMBUS / DEBUS vehicle drills, hand-to-hand VIP protection and realistic FX Simunition scenarios.
08 What tests do I need to pass?
Students are assessed through a multiple choice written test, a Firearms and Tactics VIP Protection test with live ammunition, a Hand-To-Hand VIP Protection test and a VIP Protection scenario test with FX Simunition.
09 Do I receive a certificate and patch?
Yes. Students who successfully complete the course and required assessments receive a BZ Academy certificate and patch.
10 What is included in the all-inclusive package?
The package includes training, firearms, 200 rounds of 9mm ammunition, 50 rounds of 9mm FX Simunition, accommodation, meals, local transfers, range access, safety equipment, required training equipment, certificate and BZ Academy patch.
11 Are flights included?
No. Flights are not included. Students should book their own travel to Wrocław Airport, Poland. BZ Academy organises airport pickup and course logistics according to the course schedule.
12 When should I arrive in Poland?
You should plan to arrive one day before the course starts. Accommodation is booked from the day before the course, and airport pickup is organised based on participant arrival times.
13 What should I bring?
Bring outdoor training clothing, durable footwear, weather-appropriate layers and clothing suitable for dynamic practical training. A tactical belt around 40 mm wide is recommended. BZ Academy provides firearms, safety equipment and required training equipment.
