Effective date: 16 July 2026

These Terms and Conditions govern the use of our website and the booking, payment and delivery of BZ Academy training courses and related services.

1. About us

BZ Academy is the trading name used by Tactical Global Events Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales.

Company: Tactical Global Events Ltd, trading as BZ Academy

Company number: 09473728

Registered office: 13 High Street, Kenilworth, England, CV8 1LY

Email: info@bz-academy.com

Website: bz-academy.com

2. Definitions

In these Terms:

  • “BZ Academy”, “we”, “us” or “our” means Tactical Global Events Ltd trading as BZ Academy.
  • “Customer” means the person or organisation making a booking or purchasing services.
  • “Participant” means the person attending training.
  • “Course” means any classroom, practical, firearms, online, private, group or blended training delivered or arranged by BZ Academy.
  • “Website” means bz-academy.com and associated pages operated by us.

3. Booking

A booking is not confirmed until the required registration information has been submitted, the required deposit has been paid and BZ Academy has issued a booking confirmation.

The person making a booking for another participant or on behalf of an organisation confirms that they have authority to do so and must ensure that each participant receives and complies with these Terms.

We may refuse a booking where eligibility, safety, legal, sanctions, payment or operational requirements are not satisfied.

4. Prices and course packages

The price displayed on the relevant course page applies to the package and services described on that page. BZ Academy’s main products are advertised as All-Inclusive courses.

Where a course is described as All-Inclusive, the advertised price includes the items expressly listed in that course package, which may include:

  • the training and instructor services;
  • use of the training venue, firearms, ammunition and safety equipment where specified;
  • training materials;
  • accommodation for the stated dates;
  • airport or railway-station transfers within the advertised schedule;
  • transport between the accommodation and training venue;
  • refreshments, meals or other services specifically stated on the course page.

Only the services expressly included in the course description form part of the advertised price. Additional hotel nights, private transfers, upgraded accommodation, extra ammunition, additional training, changed travel arrangements or other optional services may be charged separately.

We may change prices for future bookings without notice. A price already confirmed in writing for a completed booking will not be changed except where the Customer requests additional services or where a clearly disclosed payment-processing fee applies.

5. Payment

5.1 Deposit

The required deposit must be paid during registration by:

  • credit or debit card processed through Stripe; or
  • PayPal.

A place is not reserved until the deposit has been successfully received.

5.2 Outstanding balance

Unless otherwise stated in the booking confirmation, the remaining balance may be paid:

  • by bank transfer to our UK bank account;
  • in cash on the first day of the course; or
  • by a payment link issued by BZ Academy.

5.3 Card-processing fee

Where the outstanding balance is paid by card, whether through a payment link or by card on the first day of training, a 3% card-processing fee will be added to the card payment. This fee does not apply where the outstanding balance is paid by bank transfer or cash.

Customers are responsible for bank charges, currency-conversion charges and any other fees charged by their own bank or payment provider.

Failure to pay an amount by the applicable deadline may result in suspension or cancellation of the booking and may be treated as a cancellation by the Customer.

6. Cancellation by the customer

Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing by email. Deposits and other payments are handled in accordance with the Booking Policy published on our website and the cancellation terms disclosed during registration.

Where a refund is due, it will normally be made to the original payment method. Any non-refundable deposit, administrative charge, payment-provider fee or cost already incurred on the Customer’s behalf may be deducted where permitted by law and by the applicable Booking Policy.

Failure to attend, late arrival, voluntary withdrawal or inability to participate because required documents, eligibility conditions or travel arrangements have not been completed may be treated as a Customer cancellation.

7. Changes and transfers

A request to transfer from a booked course to another available course must be submitted at least 14 days before the original course start date.

To request a transfer, the participant must:

  1. register separately for the new course or course date;
  2. pay the required deposit for the new booking; and
  3. receive written transfer confirmation from BZ Academy.

Once the transfer has been approved, both deposits will be credited towards the total price of the new course. The transfer is subject to availability and any price difference for the new course remains payable.

Transfer requests made fewer than 14 days before the original course start date are normally not accepted. A transfer is not complete until confirmed by BZ Academy in writing.

Participant-name substitutions are not automatic and require our prior written approval because identity, eligibility and safety checks may apply.

8. Cancellation or rescheduling by BZ Academy

The overwhelming majority of scheduled BZ Academy courses take place as planned. Historically, approximately 99% of courses proceed, but this figure is provided as general information and is not a guarantee for any individual course.

In rare circumstances, we may cancel, postpone, relocate or reschedule a course because of exceptionally low participant numbers, instructor illness, venue or equipment issues, safety concerns, legal or governmental restrictions, force majeure or another operational reason. A minimum number of participants may be necessary to preserve the quality, safety and commercial viability of the training.

Where BZ Academy cancels a course before it begins, the Customer will normally be offered one of the following:

  • transfer to another available course date;
  • credit towards another BZ Academy course; or
  • a refund of course fees paid to BZ Academy for the cancelled course.

Unless required by mandatory law, BZ Academy is not responsible for indirect losses or for separately booked flights, travel, accommodation, visas, insurance, loss of earnings or other third-party costs. Participants should use flexible or refundable travel arrangements and appropriate travel insurance.

9. Attendance and prerequisites

Participants are responsible for arriving on time, attending all required sessions and satisfying all prerequisites stated for the course.

Participants must provide any required identification, criminal-record certificate, declaration, medical or safety information, licence, prior-training evidence or other document by the stated deadline. Submission of a document does not guarantee eligibility.

Late arrival, missed sessions or failure to satisfy prerequisites may result in refusal of participation, removal from training or non-issue of a certificate, without refund where permitted by law.

10. Certificates

A certificate is issued only where the participant completes the required attendance, practical exercises, assessments and safety requirements for the relevant course.

BZ Academy may withhold or revoke a certificate where information supplied by the participant was false or misleading, required standards were not met, or serious misconduct or a safety breach occurred.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, a BZ Academy certificate confirms completion of the relevant private training programme. It does not by itself constitute a government licence, firearms permit, professional authorisation or guarantee of employment.

11. Participant conduct and safety

Participants must follow all lawful instructions given by instructors, range officers, venue staff and BZ Academy representatives. Participants must behave professionally and must not endanger, threaten, harass or abuse another person.

Alcohol, illegal drugs, impairment, reckless conduct, unauthorised handling of firearms or ammunition, deliberate rule-breaking or any conduct that creates a safety risk may result in immediate removal without refund.

BZ Academy may stop or modify an exercise whenever reasonably necessary for safety, legal compliance, weather, equipment, participant ability or operational reasons.

12. Intellectual property and social media

Training manuals, presentations, lesson plans, course structures, written materials, diagrams, videos and other proprietary training content remain the intellectual property of BZ Academy or the relevant rights holder.

Participants may share photographs and short personal videos from their training experience on personal social-media profiles, including Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn, provided that:

  • the content does not compromise safety, privacy, security or applicable law;
  • other identifiable people have consented where consent is required;
  • BZ Academy logos, watermarks and branding are not removed, hidden or altered;
  • the content is not edited or presented in a misleading, defamatory or harmful way;
  • proprietary manuals, presentations, assessment materials or substantial training content are not reproduced or distributed; and
  • the content is not used commercially without prior written permission.

BZ Academy may request removal of content that breaches these conditions or creates a legal, safety, privacy or reputational risk.

13. Website use

You must not misuse the Website, attempt unauthorised access, interfere with its operation, introduce malicious code, scrape protected content or use the Website for unlawful or fraudulent purposes.

We may restrict or suspend access where misuse, security risk or unlawful activity is suspected.

14. Accuracy of information

We take reasonable care to keep Website and course information accurate, but photographs, schedules, firearm models, instructors, accommodation, transport arrangements and other operational details may change. Images may be illustrative.

Where Website information conflicts with a specific written booking confirmation, the booking confirmation will take priority for that booking, subject to mandatory consumer law.

15. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Subject to the paragraph above and to mandatory consumer rights, BZ Academy is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of business, loss of opportunity, loss of earnings or third-party travel and accommodation costs.

Participants remain responsible for their personal belongings, travel documents, insurance, fitness to travel and compliance with laws applicable to them.

Any limitation of liability will apply only to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

16. Force majeure

BZ Academy is not responsible for delay, change or failure caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disaster, epidemic or pandemic, war, terrorism, civil disorder, strikes, transport disruption, government action, border closure, venue closure, utility failure or major technical failure.

Where reasonably possible, we will seek to reschedule affected services or offer an appropriate alternative.

17. Privacy

Personal data is processed in accordance with the BZ Academy Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store and protect information relating to website users, Customers and participants.

Read the Privacy Policy

18. Cookies

The Website uses cookies and similar technologies. Non-essential cookies should be controlled through the Website’s consent-management tool. Further information will be provided in the BZ Academy Cookie Policy.

Until the separate Cookie Policy page is published, users may manage available preferences through the Cookie Settings link or consent banner displayed on the Website.

19. Third-party services

The Website and booking process may use third-party services such as Stripe, PayPal, accommodation providers, transport providers, map services, video platforms or social-media services. Those providers may apply their own terms and privacy notices.

BZ Academy is not responsible for the content, availability or independent conduct of third-party websites and services, except to the extent required by law.

20. Governing law and disputes

These Terms and any non-contractual obligations arising from them are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer-protection law gives a consumer the right to bring proceedings in another country or requires another law or forum to apply.

Customers should first contact BZ Academy and allow a reasonable opportunity to resolve any complaint.

21. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on the Website will apply to Website use from its stated effective date. The terms accepted when a booking was confirmed will generally continue to apply to that booking, except where a change is required by law or is expressly agreed.
